TWH never seizes to amaze me, with what they can do. Each product they offer, is a new innovation, to the Diecast world. I recieved this model, it being only my second one from the company, and i was in complete awe, even after expecting the quality and craftsmenship. WOW. 5 out of 5, no questions, this is hands down the BEST model produced by the Company!

this is my most recent addition to my Seagrave collection. I own every release you have put out, and this is absolutely gorgeous. The paint and details are spot on to the pics. Well done!!!

The attention to detail on this TDA is beyond compare by any manufacturer. There are companies that build die-cast fire truck models and then there is TWH that build what appear to be actual fire trucks in miniature. I can't afford a Mercedes in my drive but I will have TWH's on my shelf's. You gotta have priorities in life.

Just got my Seagrave today.
It’s really an eye opener for me because this is the first time I witness such beauty, such details in a die cast model.
It definitely worth a million times than what I am paying.
Good job TWH.

I am happy to receive a model o the Leesburg, Virginia Fire Department Seagrave TDA. It's really special when you can get a model of a truck that you see often. The dark red and black colors of the model are superb and they are nicely accented by the gold and chrome trim items. I just can't believe the level of detail that TWH packed into a relatively small model. The only complaint that I have with this model is that the latch that holds the tilting cab iin the down position is very weak. This should be reworked to match the performance of the Pierce Quantum pumpers.
This Leesburg 601 model joins my collection of Virgina fire trucks, which includes two Henrico County Pierce Quantum pumpers.

TWH Collectibles, along with their partner Seagrave Fire Apparatus, presents collectors with perhaps the best looking model fire apparatus ever made; the Leesburg, VA. Volunteer Fire Company Tractor-Drawn Aerial (TDA) Truck 601.
This highly detailed 1:50 scale model is one of the best examples of what quality engineering, attention to detail, and the drive of their dedicated staff to produce a model that is truly a masterpiece.
The Leesburg is the third in a series of Seagrave TDAs crafted by TWH Collectibles. Prior models include the New London, CT. and Redwood City, CA. TDAs. This model, based on the Seagrave Marauder II Chassis, is made of die cast and other material and weighs in at a beefy 1.75 pounds.
The quality really shows in this model. Unless you look closely you will miss it some of the detail goes unnoticed. The inside of the Marauder II cab is thoroughly reproduced; details that only a magnifying glass will review. The collector can see the Seagrave logo on every SCBA seat, cloth seatbelts, sound instillation, radio equipment, map compartment, and fans on the driver and officer’s side of the cab, and the list goes on! The detail follows through to the tiller cab, where you can see the protective earphones and microphone hanging on the tiller’s bulkhead.
The tilting cab reveals a superb recreation of the diesel engine. The cab can be displayed in the open position if desired. The cab itself beautifully reproduces the real truck using clean crisp decals and an exact matching of the department’s apparatus color scheme.
Get this; the model even has functional axel suspension on the cab and tiller!
The Marauder II cab itself is unbelievable and to scale! The emergency lighting is some of the best I have seen on any model with clean clear lines that are correct for this department’s apparatus! The scene lighting, antennas, Roto-Ray, Mars lights are all great looking. Sometimes it is hard to create a model with clean and crisp pinstripes but with this model, the gold pinstripes are done very well along with the other cab graphics. On top of the cab is a stokes stretcher. Underneath the stokes is a highly detailed generator/hydraulic pump compartment with see-through ventilation panels. WOW! I am impressed! The cab’s grill is photoetched which provides greater detail.
Throughout the entire model, diamond plate is used. It has always been a problem with some collectors to have model diamond plate out of scale. However, with all TWH Collectibles this is not a problem. The diamond plate is extensive and done well.
The model’s extendable 100 foot “K-bracing” aerial ladder has a telescoping waterway, planetary drive gearbox, breathing air cylinder, and the ladder board is to scale and brilliantly decaled. Additionally, the ladder’s tip is presented with all of the correct equipment including, an ax, electrical connection, lighting, and green strobe lights. Of particular interest is the detail they built into the ladder operator’s control panel. If you look closely, you can see the hydraulic and electrical connections going to the ladder itself.
The tiller is reproduced to the smallest detail. The roll-up doors and done well on both sides of the model. The ladder outriggers are functional. Even the plates for the stabilizers are under the tiller and can be removed.
OK folks, I can go on and on about this beauty! It is one of those models you can look at all day and notice a different detail every time you look at it. In short, on a scale of 1 -5 I give this model a 10. Yes I like it!
Finally, thank you to the good folks at TWH Collectibles for taking on the tough project of reproducing this machine, breaking it down to 1:50 scale and keep the tiny details correct! WELL DONE TWH, WELL DONE!
