A must have if you love cranes

Self erecting cranes are a marvel of modern engineering and this model by TWH doesn't dissappoint. Upon opening the box, you'll notice the red color and the compactness into which it folds. With wheels that roll perfectly and tow lead, this makes a great tag along for a Tipper or Dump Truck. The structure itself is very impressive, but what really makes this model a signficant value is how the whole things folds down into such a compact state. Using a number of tethers and cables, the model quickly opens up maintaing a controlled geometry. Completely set up, you'll notice too that TWH adds a mini crane for assembling the counterweights; a really cool feature. And finally, TWH adds just a little more detail than the average model manufacturers and this can be seen in the way the lifting car moves across the job. Very few of these cranes have the ability for the car and the lifting cable to move independantly. A MUST HAVE for the crane guys.

it is well worth the money they are asking for. There were 2 problems wrong with the one I received,1- the counter weight line is not connected to the model and there is no hook on it either to lift the counter weights off. 2- while erecting the crane up the small metal pin does not stay inside the holder, one of the arms is detached and I can't put it back together, the crane doesn't stay erected at all unless i'm holding it up in the air.

The Potain Igo crane is a beautiful piece of workmanship that displays very nicely on a 1:50 scale model jobsite. The detail is magnificent and the quality is the best I've seen.

This model was more than I expected.

The counter weights are all individual with lifting handles. It also includes a drum for the trolly and drum for the load line. It looks great set up for lifting or transportation.

The counter weight lift is a pretty nice feature as well.
